I've had a vegan girlfriend for a while, she asked me why I ate meat and if I knew how bad it was. I said I didn't care and that was that. Her cooking was pretty good by the way, I have to give her credit for that.

Me too, actually introverted vegan gfs do understand the importance of individual freedom because they have been on the other side of society and its occasional wrath. I have just made clear that (1) I have nothing against the idea in general, and support an individual's freedom to do things like this (2) I will eat vegan occasionally, but (3) I will not be shamed when I eat a half rack of ribs, and (4) you will never convert me, so don't plan on doing so. Other than that, let's go eat!
