i like to eat styrofoam and pretend that i'm eating those

Does anyone else get a painful feeling from the texture of Styrofoam. It's one of those feelings that is like nails on a chalkboard. I cant explain it well

My wife has the same issue. I hate thr sound of metal scraping so I get it, but I love the way styrofoam squeeks when rubbed together.

I keep telling Japanese people to stop calling mochi ''rice cakes'' because people think of these, but most of them shrug me off and keep saying rice cake instead of mochi, because it says so in the textbook.

They can't put two and two together that English has Japanese loanwords the same way Japan has English loanwords.

They also can't put two and two together and understand their over-reliance on textbooks might have something to do with their inability to learn foreign languages, no matter how many times foreigners who have managed to learn Japanese in like 3 years try to explain it to them.

put something tasty on them you daft twat, do you eat bread dry as well?

>> No.12688739

They became a staple diet ally because they're only 30 or even 20 calories for the flatter ones and they're so dry you need to eat them slowly. Turns out they're also great to spread things on them, sometimes better than sandwich bread.

I think these ones are actually amazing.
Tried the offbrand once and it was awful though.

The caramel corn ones are decent too.

Sure as fuck do. They are an incredibly uncreative people. Present them with a challenge such as, "write a story about xyz" and they will sit there like dumb animals. You need to spell everything out and give them a fucking form to conform to, or they'll just sit there confused.

Japan is famous for creating some of the best video games of the 90s and early 2000's. Now almost all of their games suck. People are happy to play cell phone dopamine garbage. They traded thought provoking and powerful ideas for tits and ass mobile bullshit...and they are happy with this.

Japanese sweets lack fat and butter and salt. They genuinely think Haagen-dazs is the be-all end-all of ice-cream, because nobody considers making ice-cream out of...I don't know...actual cream?...

Cream is expensive in Japan, so it's impossible to find competently made ice-cream. It's all made with normal milk and various chemicals. Shit like croissants and their ilk are tasteless because the Japanese people are afraid of using as much butter as the French do in cooking. All the bready things taste hollow. Japanese traditional sweets just plain suck...nothing more to say...they just suck...no sophistication in their recipes...they just suck.

------

Nevertheless, Japan is incontrovertibly better than Europe or America. The government doesn't have a boner for making literally everything illegal. Recently the government was asked by Europe to make hate speech illegal. They responded by saying hate speech wasn't a problem in Japan and they would only consider legislating it if it became a major issue. This is the demeanor of the Japanese government and the Japanese people. It's a magical thing.

People generally follow the law because the law is generally fair. The government doesn't over-enforce every idiotic decree they come up with. It doesn't feel like 1984.

Japan is retarded in a variety of ways, especially with regards to food and education. It's still better than the west.

I buy these once every 3 years...plain is for PB, topped with anything from sliced bananas to strawberry jam. The small mini size comes as popcorn ones, I guess I feel like they're cheatmode on a diet, just a really quick almost-buttered-popcorn mood, or else the caramelly crisp glazed sugar goodness of a kettle corn or caramel corn mood. I can eat about 3 and the mood is gone, craving handled. Late night kind of thing.

I would in fact buy them more, except I read an article about the glycemic index of rice stuff. I used to love a 50 cal bowl of puffed rice and milk at midnight, even not caring about a teaspoon of sugar but now I just go any grain but rice.

Yeah good point guys, it's not as if there's this big central government in Europe that unites the majority of the countries together and endlessly prints laws...haha that would suck.

I'm sure local laws in a lot of European countries are fine. Shame only Switzerland can fully govern itself with impunity.
