I was in an apple pie eating competition once. We had to eat as many 6 inch diameter pies as we could in three minutes. I only ate three and a half. I came last, and the next day my girlfriend (of only five weeks) broke up with me. I don't think seeing me lose that competition really contributed to her decision, but I do often wonder whether it did.

Once when I was 18, it was a 1kg tenderloin in 1 hour, with fries and pepper sauce.
I finished it and won a frozen 1kg tenderloin.

Was a chore to finish, don't intend to ever do it again.

Yes, I was in middle School back in 2009/2010 and during winter break me & my family went on a Carnival Cruise. I was in the teens club or whatever it was called one night and the activity was an Ice cream eating contest. Literally one tiny ass bowl they use upstairs near the food buffet. I filled the bowl to the dripping rim and but as I was walking back I didn't want any of it to drip on me so I decided to take a few bites but unfortunately someone told on me so I had to wait a few seconds after the competition started to give everyone a fair start. Because I felt more competitive since I had to wait I ate my bowl in under a minute (5 bites max) while everyone else are it normally. I won and my reward was a printed certificate saying I won and they gave me a cheap carnival themed Rubik's cube. Fun times.

my brother did the spicy ramen challenge at Orochon in downtown LA, he couldn't finish because the broth comes out still boiling and there is a lot of it. The heat opens up every sinus to let more chili and steam in making it worse.

The reason why you can't do endurance challenges, is when your Vagus Nerve is triggered in your stomach, it gives off the feeling of being full.
