What kind of plant? Maybe you should try buying already growing plants. Beans and garlic seem to be the easiest to grow for me. Cucumbers and squash are pretty easy too. I have yet to meet somebody who couldn't grow any fresh herbs.

Grow them in a small pot where you can nurture them with care and transplant them after they sprout. Keep them in a light environment, but without direct light from the sun and don't forget to water them regularly.

I don't have a garden, however I have a balcony. I have more than 15 pots with tomatoes only, beside that I have wild strawberry, basil, mint, oregano, rosemary, sage. lovage. lettuce + rucola.
Tomatoes were grown from seed, herbs I have bought online and I propagated them.

Does this brown part of stem is somehow squashy? If it is, it looks like a fungal/bacterial infection. If not, the plant might be shocked after replantation or has too much water. The pot has a drainage, right?

Stem is dry and hard. I do water it every 2-3 day some. yeah, some drainage.

Maybe I should just leave it on to its own devices and see how it fares. No biggie.
It was just an experiment.

Or have you actually seen the leaves turn brown and fall off? Because if one day they are gone its likely an animal eating it.

That's likely an insect that lives in the soil. Try sprinkling some diatemaceous earth around the base and if it still happens wrap the base loosely in tin foil (tedious, I know). Ideally start the plants and wait until they get larger before planting them in the garden.

>> No.12678439

Yeah and its not feminine. Real men who want easy fresh ingredients, plant and toil through the arduous process that is gardening. Its also very relaxing to tend to your crops.

>Keeping bees
Climate change and bees dying well and truly isnt a meme anymore. It used to be easy to grow tomatoes on my balcony because it gets really warm and it's shelted from rain at the same time.
But there's no damn tomatoes this year, I don't see any bees on the balcony either and I have plenty of stuff around which they used to like in the previous years.
