What's the best diet for an environmentalist? I don't want the ice caps to melt.

there's no evidence that human activity affects climate in any way. eat whatever you want.

As an individual, it doesn't matter in the slightest. Eat whatever you want. It's the big corporations and third-world shithole countries that are responsible for polluting the planet anyway.

"I fully believe and know that the climate is changing. I also know that we humans beings are contributing to it in a major way. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. We're putting it into the atmosphere in volumes that we haven't seen, and that greenhouse gas is warming the planet. That is absolutely happening, and we are responsible for it.

those are all 10 year old studies, it's definitely higher now. In 2008 I went to my first conference on climate change and people were giving presentations about "what could we do to turn it around?" Last year it was "OK so since the climate is going to change, what can we do so that the planet doesn't get completely fucked and kill us all?" The whole conversation changed in 10 years. Climate is an engineering and policy matter now, not scientific. Pretty damning

Eat what you want. It is all liberal yahoos talking about things that might happen but won't. Just like 10 or so years ago they projected the northern ice caps to be completely melted by 2016. If humans are truly the cause then the most environmental diet would be cannibalism.

Vegan probably. And try to grow as much as you can yourself.
I love meat but those factory farmed cows are farting as much co2 into the atmosphere as our automobiles are. So avoid both.

You must:
>Stop driving
CO2 is high in both electric and gasoliene cars. This is due to the Mining of rare metals consuming fucktones of coal/natural gas. Electricity is also mostly coal/natural gas and the """Environmentalists""" are against clean and safe Nuclear.
>Grow your own food or only eat local
You can't drive, but others will drive to deliver to grocery stores. These stores waste electricity and food and, thus, pollute.
>Unplug from the electric grid
The electric grid is mostly nonrenewable. Either create your own sustainable electricity or lobby for more nuclear.
>Eat veggies and legumes and nuts and beans
Duh

STEM-anon here, to tell you why "99% of X" agree on anything.

No one gives a shit how objective or smart you are. You get a job by making connections and knowing people. You get funding by seducing rich, faceless entities with bleeding heart bullshit in your grant papers. Your arguments mean nothing without having "references", because nothing is true unless someone else has already said it. This heavily incentivizes scientists to smell which way the wind is blowing and go with it, because you don't get those connections and grants without sucking dick. "99% of scientists agree" because if they don't their career is fucking over. It's extortion.

This makes it very, very easy for someone to control a narrative, should they want to. Pay off a few key individuals to say what you want to say and make any "references" that disagree with your narrative inaccessible on any "reputable" scientific platforms (keeping in mind that they get to decide what's "reputable"). Science is a cult, and "scientific" means nothing but "validated by the cult".
