Yeah that was disappointing, because I had been writing tons of reviews that would get me qualified for the program. I think it was vine reviewers maybe. But they ended it. They should really either not allow reviews from non-verified purchasers or not include their star rating in the weighted average.

I'm more just pissed that I cannot find anything on Amazon anymore that isn't mass produced chink shit with fake reviewers that can't even use the product correctly for their shekels. Even so, and it would be incredible if a non-globohomo small business store that sells high quality American made products actually existed near me, I'd like to be able to check reviews for those products first. What's even the difference between buying online at Amazon and in-person at Walmart or Sam's or wherever? At this point I'd be happy to spend 3x the price if anyone can point me in the direction of an American small/medium business that sells quality American goods that will ship them to me. At least it would help someone's American community.

I never even thought about race or ethnicity before I moved from an almost all white area where I grew up to a diversity enriched city. It only took a few months to figure out why people of one race, ethnicity, culture, and religion can't stand people outside of their in-group. But I digress, that doesn't even apply here. Everyone in the world, no matter how naive and blind know chinese produced goods are trash and are aggravated by Indian customer support.

>How do people like this get through life?
OP, yes, the lemon is upside down for that kind of juicer.
If you are asking why anyone uses a mechanical device for a single squeeze of lemon, the answer lies in sensitivity of one's skin. Given the right conditions, say someone who works in a medical setting, their hands are pretty raw from frequent washing, and is a safer option than getting juice and oils directly in the hands. My juicer looks more pictured here. It requires no hand strength to flip the skin inside out, and it allows you to set it down on a bar, using half a lime's juice for now and going back to it later, or else parking 3-4 key limes in there at a time. You tip the seeds right out, zero cleaning between batches. I have no idea why they're not used than the inside out versions. It's superior. I also own a giant orange press I carried back in my luggage from Mexico 30yrs ago, but since the state chopped down my fancy pink grapefruit and ponderosa lemon trees in that controversial citrus greening issue, it's rarely used.

To be fair to them their tap water is genuinely unpalatable and regularly even unsafe to drink. Either they need to get a water purifier installed, or they have to buy packaged water. I live in Nevada, arguably one of the freest states despite democrats taking control more recently, but I currently live in an area that might as well be flyover boomertown in terms of local small businesses that sell made in usa products. It's not like there aren't some small businesses, but they sell the same type of cheap chink shit that I would get at any other larger business. When possible, I bypass any kind of commercial service, which is really easy for restaurants and fix-it/repair work and other services. I don't know if it's really unhealthy elsewhere, but it definitely is unpleasant. I.e. San Francisco tap water tastes and smells of chlorine. And if you need to chlorinate your water, that's a clear sign that you got some issues in your system that you apparently can't fix, so yeah, I can get why folks don't want to drink that shit.
Why they tend to exchange it with something even worse though, that I don't understand.

Maybe in the third world.
If you have to chlorinate your water, that means something is wrong with it. Your source is fucked, or your well is fucked, or even your whole aquifer is fucked, or your water plant is broken or your pipes are in dissarray or any combination of it.
Because if every part of the process is OK, you don't need any disgusting chlorine in the water.
Chlorine is what you have a stockpile of in your water plant, in case a catastrophe happens in your plant and you need to be able to keep the water running wihtout killing anyone.

I don't know if it's all chlorinated, but I've been to plenty of European cities where the tapwater smelled of chlorine. It can apparently be quite localised too, since I've been to towns in a country where it doesn't smell, but larger cities of the same country where it does.
It's harmless, though, and I suppose you would get used to it.

You can get literal burns on your hands. Apparently, adding UV sunlight is exponential damage for people who work outside and do anything at a bar too. Next time you tailgate that Jimmy Buffet concert, better have that citrus prepped at home, LOL.

It's the contrary. Are you missing some education? What do you think, that there is a UV light sanitizer in the lines under your house?
Chlorinated water is the maintenance flush that companies down as preventative maintenance to keep lines clear. Depending on your neighborhood, you might be the dead end at the end of a line, such as on a cul-de-sac in a beach community.
All year, however, chloramines are in the water at just enough of a level to keep water safe until it reaches you.
At the time of flushing with higher levels, notices go out to prevent people on dialysis or refilling fish tanks from using it.
It might be two weeks a year or however often they deem it necessary given the temperature of the ground water for x number of days. It's science.

On the contrary. I've got a degree in hydrogeology and I have worked for many water utilities.
My point stands:
If you need chloride, your shit's broken. Unfortunately, a lot of shit is broken, but that does not change the facts. A lot of cities also have a lot of crime, but that does not make crime OK.
