Just picked up one of these. How badly did I fuck up?

Return it. You can get better grinders cheaper. All breville makes is slick looking shit with a ton of features that you'll never use and it'll break within a year. Check the warranty on that. For what you spent, shouldn't it be longer?

>> No.12650872

I paid 170 CDN for mine and it's a perfect grinder, even for all its electronic horseshit. It's great OP, don't worry. All the stupid pricks telling you it isn't good, don't own it.

I've had mine for 8 years and I can't count the number of bags I've been through. They're not ceramic burrs but they last.

I was in high end coffee repair for 10 years. These are objectively shit. The bodum $80 ceramic burr grinder is better than this. Only downside are features, but you should already own a kitchen scale.

You were a high end what? A fucking appliance repairman?

Repairman for high-end appliances. You might laugh, but when someone's paying me $5k for an hour of work and $500 in parts I'm coming out way ahead.

I've had this thing for 10 years and it didn't deviate or wear its fitting at all and hasn't failed at all. it's a stainless steel burr but it has worked perfectly for a decade. Tell me how it's objectively shit, appliance repair workman.

So you're just some scam artist. Of course. Pump the italian brands for the commission.

This past week and a half I repaired a maytag washer an inglis fridge and a carrier central air. All with a frozen shoulder. I want my 5 grand of idiot money.

I figured you'd vapourize like a dumb piece of shit when anyone challenged you. Can you help me with this maytag repair? I think the belt are worn.

What fucking commission is he getting on /ck/ faggot?

>> No.12651504

The burrs don't last on them. The base models were made out of plastic. The pro version is stainless steel reinforced plastic...

if you're grinding espresso/fine grounds then it won't last a year. i hated mine.

>>12650898
Neat. How did you get into that? Do you just have to do a bunch of certifications for every brand or do you just kind of wing it?

>> No.12651535

So the only proper way is to get a $500 coarse only grinder and $500 espresso only grinder separately?
