Here's a picture of a ma/ck/erel I caught and fileted in Norway.

Pan-fried it in some evoo. Other pics are too high file size.

Any other catch and cookers out there?

Sounds nice
The only time i ever get to eat caught fish is when we go on charters

>> No.12600279

Nice one, I dont eat my catches since where i live the rivers are a bit polluted. But i regularly catch eels and zanders and even some catfish on the canal in my town.

What kind? Cod, perhaps?

>>12600279
Sweet okay, riddle me this. What is an eel's favorite bait?

>> No.12600316

>>12600303
We usually fish for eel with big earthworms on the bottom of the canal with a lead system. Use like 4 big earthworms on an eelhook (size 6 hooks usually).

It's pretty great man. I lived in SoCal most of my life and lakes/fishing was a daytrip. Now I live within 20 mins of 10 different lakes

Yeah, day trip or a two week long trip to Norway hahah
Any pics of your trouts as dinner?

>> No.12600390

I fish every week. Right now it's fluke season and I've caught plenty, but none have been big enough to be keepers. Might go crabbing soon too.

Love crabbing. Nothing like hauling up a cluster fuck of the buggers

>> No.12600414

Do you have to dispatch and filet it really quickly because of the urine or is that a myth

>> No.12600456

I think blue sharks and some others taste like shit but that is because of their biological makeup. mako sharks tase kinda like swordfish. you kill them after capture with a boom stick which is a 12 gauge shot shell loaded in this thing that gives the shark an impact without all the pellets or slug

we kill the shark and takes like 3 hours to drive back to the dock where we fillet it

everyone says shark tastes bad but its cause they eat garbage shark and not mako shark

I never really take out my phone much, or bring a decent camera while I'm out. But here's a pic of the sunset I took while heading back recently.
