You realize most restaurant aim for around a 30% food cost right? That they have to pay for labor, utilities, building, permits/licenses, laundry, cleaning supplies, durable goods such as silverware plates lightbulbs and even chairs that wear down or break (or customers steal). Anything can be made cheaper at home.

Sorry man, but we weren't Olive Garden. If it's any comfort it was 14USD right up until I moved. The patties were shortrib and safe to eat at any temperature, and most people ordered them medium. The entrees weren't horribly priced, around 25 dollars. The burgers and entree salads were kinda a good deal for people staying nearby or those on the way to the concerts and were in a hurry or strapped for cash.
