You can buy travel mugs with inline French presses. Shit is great. Fresh brewed coffee when you want it, just carry a ziploc of ground coffee and you're all set for multiple cups.

Keurig owner here. The commercial ones you find at hotels and offices are much worse than the at-home ones. Not sure why that is but I imagine they have too much room for user error and brew faster to be efficient, lesser settings likely plays a role in it as well.
Even at-home Keurig brewed stuff is utter shit unless you have a halfway decent brand of coffee like a Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts/McCafe where they use the same quality beans as you can buy in pound bags, but even then the coffee while drinkable, is worse by far than making it on a drip machine. Most names are just licensed onto k-cups from my understanding or are just straight out cheapo coffee like Folger's etc that can't take the worse quality of a Keurig brew.
A reusable cup is the way to go but after all the effort of buying and grinding coffee for an ostensibly worse product, it's simpler to just make a standard pot.
