We don't have tacos or variants in our cuisine though. It's seen as a foreign food here. Argie cuisine is mostly beef, Patagonian lamb, empanadas, locro and Italian dishes like gnocci, milanesas, pizza and gelatto. Also the Welsh pastries in the south (torta galesa) which are God tier.

This is our version of Sandra Lee of "Semi-Homemade Cooking" fame. She's pretty much a celebrity housewife. There's nothing wrong per se with that, you just need to understand that the culinary bar has to be set for the lowest common denominator, because she pretty much is one, and for them to appeal to your stereotypical wine mom. Expect everything she makes to be some sort of """""healthy""""" according to the latest meme diet, incorporate whatever's currently hyped en masse in the culinary world, needless """technical""" flair that tries to be """creative""" but does nothing for the dish at best, and very usually dumbing things down to the point of making wildly inappropriate substitutions for whatever a busy mom is likely to have on hand. Nobody, and I mean nobody, takes Maru Botana for a culinary tour de force here, except perhaps for the wine moms that cook even worse than her. The only exception to have talked better than indifferently about her is my next door neighbor's wife, and her cooking is so bad I've seen the poor guy feed their dog the leftovers when she leaves so he doesn't have to eat them (her ass is tight and I'm guessing pussy game must be on point).

If Francis Malman or something did a meme like that I could understand the reaction, but brown manlets are blowing everything out of proportion.

This whole thing reminds me of what what the Italian Chef Massimo Bottura said in interviews. He said modern Italian cuisine really stagnated against other great European cuisines until the 90s because Italian culinary world was so obsessed with tradition, the entire chef community scolded anybody daring to deviate from "nonna's recipes." He also says in order to find new ways to enjoy food, you have to look in the past and tradition with critical eyes not blind deference and nostalgia, and this is where a lot of chefs fail.
