I've never drunk tequila neat before. Where's a good place to start?
Also, tequila thread.

In the bathroom, because you'll be throwing up

Depends on how much money you want to spend, no matter about that, the good stuff goes great with kalamata olives during the summer in the sun.

depends on your budget

Don Julio 1942 is excellent top-shelf tequila, but if you like your profile similar to scotch in terms of complexity, Espolon Extra Anejo X is great
Don't force yourself into tequila if you don't like the profile of agave, because it's the building block of pretty much every form.

Tradition states cheap silver/blanco or gold, but your photo probably shows a much better entrance.

Yep mid 90s-ish. Hands down best liquor/spirit I've ever had.

I’ve been drinking this on the rocks. I think it’s the first bottle of tequila I’ve ever bought. I only did shots of garbage before. I’ve been drinking bourbon all winter & needed to change it up.

The first I had when I was a young lad chilling out at the beach was this shit with the worm. A couple friends and I would get those bottles and split the worm up three ways. Looking back on it that was not only funny shit but that stuff was vile. Hindsight is always 20/20.

Just get something cheap and use that as a baseline and go from there.

Mezcal... unless someone started throwing worms in tequila... it's very rough - I compare it to a cheap, overpeated scotch - great for self-loathing and aggravated problem solving.

We are part of a special club my fren. I tried it in an "Irish" bar in Dublin Ohio. Asked the bar tender for a shot of some good tequila. He filled a rocks glass half full for something like $7-8, seemed pretty steep at the time. Probably some of the best tequila the world has ever seen.

I found a bottle sitting at some Russian owned liquor store in NYC, the bottle was about $130 at the time. Sometimes you just have to say "what the fuck" and do it.
I think that place used to be a video game arcade place, then a strip club, then a liquor store.

>> No.12533837

Tequila is the one liquor I honestly can't stomach. Garbage.
>muh Cuervo
The only palatable tequila I've had was a $60 bottle. Why drop $60 when I can drop half that on anything else and be just as satisfied?
