Once you're a server, you get the gist of things. When I leave a table as a patron, my dishes are stacked, glasses are all side by side, silverware is all piled together, and all trash/leftovers is separated to its own plate. Takes like 60 seconds and it's not like you have anything better to do while waiting for the check.
