Greetings /co/cks. For any British anons out there what are 3 restaurants that you make certain to eat at while you're in London. Thinking about taking a work trip there and I hear it's evolved into a real food city since I last went (almost 30 years ago).

Nice. I don't have any answers to your question, but I'll bump the thread.

>evolved
More like devolved. Last time I arrived at Heathrow and got the bus out I thought I must have got the wrong place to some sand nigger land. Truly a sad state of affairs.

I'm in London a lot for work, here are my favorites:

Le Gavroche - http://www.le-gavroche.co.uk/
French. Make reservations quickly, as it can be really hard to get a table. reservations go out three months, but you can look for cancellations or just get lucky. ~3-4 hour dinner. Awesome wine pairings. This is a must visit, exceptional food.

Restaurant Story - https://restaurantstory.co.uk/
Modern British. Fantastic food, super approachable. They come out and ask you before it starts if there is anything you don't like and make substitutions. ~3-4hour dinner, 400 for two people. The wine list is pretty good but no wine pairings, just a "drink" pairing menu which is retarded.

Sketch London
Multiple rooms, the Gallery is more casual, the Library is fine dining.

If you want more traditional British, like a Sunday roast and cast ale, try The Hardwood Arms in Fulham

Ledbury - https://www.theledbury.com/
Located in Notting Hill, it is another of my favorites for French.

London is also known for great Indian food, but, I don't like it.

I recommend having a scroll through Jay Rayner’s reviews to find newer and lesser known places. His reviews are excellent, read them every Sunday.

No problem. London has some very good food. If you like WWI and WWII stuff, I highly recommend the Imperial War Museum as well.

Best one I heard was from the guy who landed at Heathrow, and thought that he must have been diverted to Mogadishu.

I just got back last night (I travel there a lot, I'm >>12509660) and yeah everything you hear about there being no actual British people there is correct. It's pretty amazing really. It isn't one group, it's just a bit of everyone. You have to leave London to experience England. London is like it's own country, for better or worse.
