This show is fucking awful, fuck you people and your shitty taste. You can tell Favreau is trying to convince the little asian chef to actually talk about what he's doing and why he's doing it, but he keeps pulling his silly-ass talking food comments out of his ass instead. Oh the cheese will tell you when it's ready, the bread isn't happy on the grill, etc. It's so painful and annoying. Also the guests are insufferable. Sure I like Bill Burr, but this is definitely a phoned-in appearance. I don't buy his comment about the grilled cheese, Netflix totally paid him like they paid everyone else, and they definitely confronted him first. Beyond that, what am I hyped about? Gwyneth Paltrow not even remembering what Marvel movies she's been in? A bunch of other Avengers stars giving media-friendly disney-safe performances?

Why is it so hard for Netflix to produce a cooking/food show that is not excessively political, pretentious, or food network-tier food personality trash? If it's covering food from another country, it has to talk equally about immigration and their struggles against white people. If it's covering a chef's skill set and knowledge, it's overly artsy and takes itself far too seriously as if it's some kind of magical esoteric process that bewilders the viewer. And, if it's just about regular food with a "regular" host, it's hilariously dumbed down to the level of Pawn Stars or some other pseudo-reality show with no real information, just a bunch of bright faced hosts ooing and ahhing at meme ingredients or something.
