Nevada, specifically Las Vegas. Famous Chefs from all around the world the world have their high quality restaurants here with both fine dining and casual restaurants that while being a bit pricey generally have amazing quality food from all different parts of the world. If the mainstream shit on the strip isn't your style then you also have your choice of local places that may be more hole in the wall style, but are absolutely amazing and cheap to boot, especially in Chinatown where there are tons of different styles of food for relatively cheap with good quality resturant experiences, or just for take out. Not to mention the pure amount of high quality and authentic Mexican restaurants that are all across the city. For the fat tubs of lard out there there is also a wide variety of different fast food restaurants that range from high quality regional places like In-n-Out, places from other regions that have set up shop in the market like Chik-Fil-a, White castle and five guys, absolute trash like Taco Bell and McDonald's, and even run down shitty hole in the wall places that makes some surprisingly good food. There is no memery like NYC or LA, and if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for mainstream food on the strip you have a lot of local places with varied cuisines that are extremely affordable. You also can legally get dude weed lmao to help the experience. Overall, probably one of the best places in the entire country for high quality food from all over the world.

I mean, fair enough, but the majority of the population of the entire state lives in Vegas, like how the majority of the population of other states live in one to 2 big cities. I'd consider it a a good show of what most of the state has to offer in the same vein as how NYC is where you'll find most of the food in New York just because it's so big and caters to such a large population.

LA used to destroy New York for Mexican, but an influx of immigrants from Puebla over the last two decades fixed If you limit NYC to Manhattan, yeah we kill LA on the high end and LA kills us on the cheaper eats. Once you include Brooklyn and Queens the cheap eats thing becomes more oif a knife edge call.

Agreed. But great grandma is dead and her recipes don't really work with shit from the supermarket or Walmart anyways. The kind of American homestead/farmhouse cooking that was something of a national treasure was pretty much destroyed by the 20th Century. And what replaced it in home kitchens across the country isn't very pretty.

Not really. Manhattan is The City. Brooklyn has been cool for at least 15 years now though, but most modern Brooklynites will acknowledge Queens beats them on street level even though no one wants to go to Queens if they don't already live there. The Bronx and Staten Island are still trying to be heard above the hype of Jersey City being the new sixth borough. There's no real fight though, just more of a pecking order.
