I'm trying to force myself to like whiskey so i dont have to drink all the calories that go along with mixed drinks or cocktails. I got this on Friday and it's kind of rough to drink, definitely not really a fan of it neat but on the rocks isnt too too bad

If you're going to force yourself to like something, I'd say go vodka (cheap, price-to-quality evens off around $50AUD (probably way cheaper wherever you are; go Russian Platinum), and you'll learn to wrestle bears or some shit).

Whisky's great and all, but not something worth getting into by yourself. Get a whisky or two the next time you go to a bar or bum off a friend who likes them.

I just picked whisky since that seems to be the spirit i most often see people say they like so i figured there must be some reason for that. I can't really imagine just drinking vodka as even stuff thats decent is pretty rough to drink even as a shot. Hey man I'm trying. I used to add sugar and creamer to my coffee but for the last 6 months to a year ive only been drinking it black. It's been a while since ive had tobacco but was considering going and getting some cigars, seems like something that goes well with whiskey.
