Used to eat here up to three times a day with my cousin, my store had an absolutely based Indian owner that comped us chips and had "raffles" to win free subs which we regularly won. He would always stand in front of the restaurant trying to attract customers but it went away after a while.

Used to be a place that specialized in just Philly cheesesteaks as it was in the name of the restaurant and they were the best at that. Quiznos used to also be out here but they too disappeared and now they're only downtown.

Quiznos fucked their franhise owners over. They fored them to buy all ingredients from them, at inflated prices, forced them to participate in coupon deals/offers where they lost money, without their consent, sold too many franchises too close together, and jacked up franchise fees to pay for loads of questionable commercials.
It got so bad one franchise owner killed himself, and blamed quiznos for runining him, in the suicide note, and then a bunh of franchise owners started a class action lawsuit.
Basically, corporate got greedy, and fucked over the people who actually ran the restaurants.
If they wanted the level of control they exerted, they never should have gone with a franchise model.

Shame, because those were some good fucking sandwiches.

I worked at a Quiznos. The company failed because of corporate. They forced owners to buy the supplies from them, and the margins were too low. Owners sued corporate. Company went out of business. A few franchise owners actually committed suicide because they lost all their money. The one I worked at failed after 2 years.

The would force them to go through some weird company that charged an arm and a leg to get their supplies and food, so they weren't even making a profit. Plus, due to rapid expansion they really didn't hire the brightest people or people with the most experience in running a store. Also, Subway began toasting their subs, so what is so special about Quiznos anymore? Combine all of this with the recession that happened at the time and this is why you see the number of Quiznos drop by the thousands.
