All of our "homebrew" stores support home distilling and no one seems to realize it. They have turbo yeast, alcohol hydrometers, everything to make home distilled booze. Why don't you people just do it?

Don't understand why people have a problem with tax. If your economy supports decent buying power and you have all basic needs met excess income basically depresses wages and creates inflation? It might as well taper off to everything you earn above 5-6 times the minimum wage.

Like .. nobody is getting paid way fucking more than they need to live on to do basic shit, so surely minimum and maximum wages with sensible taxation supports keeping wages high for the majority of people?

If everybody had excess money all the time then wages would fall and businesses would raise prices. People are dumb and would be convinced to part with their money in ways which brought less value to their lives.

You can argue that some people, if able to keep all of their money would start businesses, become entrepreneurial, but .. you need to be paid enough to live on after taxes, if there were low/no taxes then you'd just get paid less.

Taxes support that whole middle class economy. Education, health, social services, transport, law and so on. Like do away with it and a lot of medium tier jobs collapse. If this money was left to go into the economy through the channels of global capitalism as it is then it'd leave the country.

Generally people arguing for low/no tax are people who are angry that they can't accumulate way more than they need and are 'forced' to pay into a system (which benefits them directly and indirectly) which they can't control or influence.

Like the amount of tax money spent on education is ridiculous from my perspective. Especially when all of it is structured to make us better suit the needs of businesses who will exploit us. Businesses should support education because they ultimately benefit. Same with a lot of transport. People will use it to develop an area, move goods and provide services, get to work and so on. Businesses benefit from transport and should pay to provide it. Same with health care, a lot of it is dealing with the fallout of people working.

Too much labor supply+less demand for jobs from employers due to automation as well as bad spending habits. Also neoliberalism has destroyed the debt and hypercorporatism has basically destroyed any chance of the middle class coming back as long as governments continue mass immigration policies and blind people with diversity politics instead of the hard numbers problems even though culture clash is a serious issue.

Lcbo worker here, there are 2 reasons for that.
1. Personal liability. If we as store employees touch the guy to get our shit back we get fired plus sued.
2. Risk that the crook has a weapon and if someone tries to stop him he’ll have some type of knife or gun and shoot us and possibly innocent bystanders.

If people want these fucks to stop stealing then tell the province to give the police more money and assets to solve it.
