Being a millennial isn't necessarily counter culture, and not what I meant to imply. Mainstream culture is: listening to radio music, watching marvel and Harry Potter movies, Starbucks, instagram. you get the idea.

The old stereotype of a hipster (not the original usage from like 1930) was someone who lived in a city and wore glasses, trendy clothes, read books, listened to music that wasn't Nickelback, and was health conscious. Now, that's just fucking everybody.

I haven't listened to the radio in a long while. I think that's more about being old than being hipster. You're old the minute you dislike the majority of radio music. I've been old since 1997.
I don't know what the fuck cut my jeans are. They're jeans. I wear them. Don't think I ever put much thought into them besides whether they fit comfortably or not. I honestly don't know what different cuts even mean.
I never had Budweiser or Miller because, to my knowledge, those weren't available where I grew up. By the time I moved to the US, I was already set in liking the beers I grew up with. I don't like local breweries because beer ought never taste of pfeffernusse, oysters and soap. Especially not simultaneously.
I live in a large city because I was offered a job here while I was at uni and living in the burbs would be far less convenient.
