I'm gonna visit the south of the us soon. What are the best culinary places and chains I should check out? It will be my first time visiting the us.

Piggie Park. Ask them for a custom gay wedding cake.

The south is a big place. What states and what areas in the states? Already sounds like you'll piss off some yokel and end up as alligator food in the bottom of a swamp anyway.

Why in the fuck would you want to go to the south? That's the most fucked up place in the US, every state there mainly backwoods, hillbilly, evangelical, inbred, methtastic morons.
Visit a different area instead, and just go to a bookstore and buy a southern cuisine cookbook to take home with you. Also, these days, you can find southern food all over the US, made by people from there, who left because they were smart. And, going to the south in summer is the WORST time you could go there; it's humid, insects everywhere, bad weather, and hot as fuck. I'm telling you all this to help you, anon.

Head to charleston if you can. Lots of good food and history. Favorite place is a restaraunt called the tattood moose. Place had a banging duck club sandwhich.

The South is beautiful in the summer and it’s the best time to come, the heat is part of the experience. Its an energizing heat. It’s also the best time for fresh local produce, which the South is great at putting out. Otherwise this post is completely accurate most Southern states are Republican shitholes run by oligarch bigots.

Come to Asheville, North Carolina. Best craft beers in the USA. My favorite local restaurant that serves American food is Tupelo Honey, they do great modern Southern food. As for fast food make sure you hit up Cookout at least once. Also there’s a lot of international restaurants around here, ranging from high end to hole in the wall. I recommend checking out Taqueria Munoz, they make some excellent Mexican food that I’m sure you have nothing like in Europe or wherever.

This. Asheville is great. I live in East TN but the drive over the mountains to get there was beautiful. The music scene and food scene is great. Check out Burial brewing if beer is your thing.

Not even joking, don’t go to any nationwide or multi-state chains. It’s just like other countries, if you go to the shitty chains you’re getting average retard food. Go to family-owned places if you want the best food.

In the US if there’s more than like 5 of the same restaurant owned by the same people, they standardize the fuck out of all the food and it loses the homemade, American quality that it had.

You can easily use google/yelp to find highly rated local restaurants and it will always be worth it. If you’re in the eastern part of the US don’t get Mexican though, those fucking idiots don’t know how to make Mexican food even if they think they do.

Flagrantly hating on the South has been a coastie homo hallmark since long before any of us were born.

That's like visiting Western Europe for the first time and somehow choosing to spend your time in Oldham, Britain.
