>Your friend SLURPS THE FUCK out of his ramen because it's the Japanese way

I seriously want to pull my hair or punch someone in the face (not literally) it's so fucking god damn annoying. It's only ok if you're in Japan or someone who's actually Japanese. Could you fucks not do this? Thanks.

It's because it's easier to get the noodles in your mouth by slurping them.

All asians are like that, since I was educated to close my fucking mouth and proper table manners it does bother me a bit. Sometimes it's like they're trying to amplify the noise on purpose.

Their system of manners is a little different. Slurping isn’t as taboo, it’s done on purpose to rapidly cool hot liquids as they enter your mouth. Also IIRC in Chinese table manners slurping your soup and tea is supposed to be a sign of appreciation and that you’re enjoying the food to cook.

I’ve only ever known the Chinese to do that lip smacking thing deliberately. Burping and farting are also a sign of meal appreciation there and good lord do I wish I was kidding.

Chinese tourists are the absolute worst people in the history of humanity. They are like detroit niggers that got a masters degree in being a disgusting annoying piece of shit. So it was probably a chink. They should never be allowed off their land.

I never understood this retarded shit. Some people in my own family eat as loud as a jet engine without having this whole "eat loudly to show appreciation" mindset. Is it so difficult to just open your mouth once and say, "It's good"?

Based

It used to be custom to both burp and fart after a good meal as a sign of enjoyment and thankfulness in almost every white (aka European) country til long after the middle ages

Japanese table manners aren't bad aside from the slurping thing. I've never heard or seen a Japanese person in a video or in person who chewed with their mouth open or anything. Chinese/Singaporeans/Vietnamese/Malaysians on the other hand have worse manners.

The point is that these rules aren't inherent and change at a whim. It's not just Chinese who slurp, we just stopped because we deemed it inappropriate.

I don't even like slurping. It's just a matter of fact that it's been "normal" for most of the time.

It's probably ever less graceful reeling them in with your tongue and teeth for a full 15 seconds.
