When I was in elementary school this girl Megan who looked like Britney Spears and always had really fashionable clothes and we all worshiped her including me, every day her mom who also always dressed in latest fashions and looked like Britney Spears would drop her off a Happy Meal from McDonalds at lunch time.

Pretty much that, it was rare for me, not every day like her, but when my mom would do it that was my supreme choice.

Other than that, I did enjoy pizza Lunchables especially when they made the XTREEM DEEP DISH ones. I also liked some hot lunches, I liked burritos and tacos, and I liked chicken nuggets to dip in mashed potato from ice cream scooper, and I liked cheeseburgers that came in bags and I dunk them in ketchup.

I remember there was some program involving a special day for Campbells Soup...I don't remember how it worked, but some would participate in it and then they would get Campells Soup for lunch on a specific day, I always thought it was "Camel soup" and thought it must be exotic and that they were more cultured than me for eating it, but years later I learned what it really was and that they were fucking idiots for wanting to eat shitty soup for lunch

in elementary school sometimes we would have french toast which was an entire miniature loaf, and two sausage links. there were little packets of syrup to dip it in too.

i moved to alabama in high school. every now and then they would have fried catfish, fried okra, some other sides to choose from, and cans of gatorade.

they would also have fried chicken nuggets sometimes. until my senior year you would be allowed to pile as many as you wanted on your tray. that's when they started cracking down on how many you were allotted. the nuggets weren't soggy or chewy either. they were pretty damn tasty and crispy.

those were always my favorite lunches. on other days i just had pb&j, chips, and a fruit cup.

Is this like how the AHC is also all the republican's fault? You do realize that Obama's little school lunch program was just a handjob to the agriculture industry, right? And that it primarily hurt mid-low income families, just like the AHC? And you're going to try and accuse someone else of not being able to pass a citizenship test? Get real.

Yes, yes, it really hurt those people to try and teach them how to eat sensible food that would keep them from getting the 'beetus. Also, the AHC has been proven to work, but only in states that actually accepted the whole package. If you live in a red state, your lawmakers probably didn't accept the entire package, since the Repiglicans made it so they could accept or reject any part of it they wanted to, state by state. If the AHC doesn't work where you live, blame your state lawmakers, not Obama, faggot.

When I was a kid:
>kindergarten through elementary school
My parents always packed my lunch. Usually it was a ham or turkey sandwich on wheat with lettuce, mustard, and cheese; either a small ziplock bag of chips, or carrot and celery sticks; and a can of V8. Sometimes there would be a thermos of homemade soup or stew, crackers, and fruit instead.
>Jr. High
Either a packed lunch (by that time, I was packing my own lunches, but it was still basically the same stuff) OR we had an independently owned food stand at the corner of the campus that sold hamburgers, frito pies, dorito pies, hot dogs, sodas, chips, and candy, and I'd buy a burger or frito/dorito pie and a soda.
>High School
We had open campus, so I'd either go out to eat with my friends, or as I got older, I'd with go my friend and buy a pack of cigarettes and a soda and drive around listening to music, or smoke a joint and then go back to campus. I always had Latin right after lunch, so being high was good for that class.

I grew up during a time where there was a bunch of stuff going on with kids eating "heathy" in school.

>Elementary:
Was pretty standard crap like a lot of people pointed out, although we generally got more sides then a lot of the pictures and had the option for a ice cream for like $.50 cents. I ate a lot of lunchables during this time. Lots of stuff like the breadtangles of pizza, crinkle cut fries, cheap burgers, cheap mixed veggies, and every now and then turkey and gravy with a roll.

>Middle School:
Quality was generally better, and we also had the concession stand that sold stuff like nachos or candy. Still not great, but was better.

>High school:
Went to two different ones. First one had a separate ala carte line with stuff like higher quality pizza or tyson chicken sandwiches. Standard food was prison level shit.

Honestly, the lines were so long and the amount of time was so short (25 minutes, and once you get in it was closer to 18 minutes). that I generally just paid one of my friends to stand in line and get me something and let them pocket some of the leftover change. I never went through the line the entire time.

Second school had pretty much the same shit as above, but more options and had vending machines where you could get soda or candy. Pretty much did the same shit, and got a snack or something out of the machines. Second year they cracked down and started doing "healthy" options, so I more or less just saved my lunch money and ate at home.

My school forced us to injest their discount prison food because they would "lose money". If you brought in your own food it would be confiscated and thrown away. I would just eat food from any of the nearest fast food restaurants. It was pretty comfy sneaking out and throwing pizzas under cars.

In highschool we weren't allowed to go off campus for lunch. In freshman year, I was sitting at a table by myself when Cole, one of the skater kids came over with a bunch of Junior year kids and asked if they could sit with me. I didn't talk a lot, but it was nice to have company. At least until one day they joked that I looked like the kind of kid who would shoot up a school. After that I would just go to the library during lunch and nap in one of the chairs there.

Once during senior year, me and a couple of kids that I knew from English class dressed up in nice clothes and brought to the cafeteria a table cloth, some lightbulb candles, and "nicer" lunch foods like salad and quiche. It was pretty funny at the time. A lot of the people in the hot lunch line next to us wanted to get pictures.

One time in elementary school, I traded with some kid for the French toast vacuum wrapped in plastic bag. I put it in my Harry Potter lunch box and forgot about it at school. When I came back on Monday, I opened up my lunch box and ate my three day old syrup soaked French toast.

I also liked dipping my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in juice from my thermos. One kid started making fun of my for it and a lunch lady came over and said I wasn't allowed to dip my sandwiches in my juice anymore.

I actually loved it

Primary school was a set lunch, not bad usually. Best part was the dessert, best one was warm melt in mouth chocolate carmale cake with custard. We used to fight each other for second helping if any was left

High school we could pick what we wanted

I loved these better than the rectangle pizzas.

I remember when half my school got sick because the fish patties were under cooked, so the other half got these instead. I had two. Best day ever.
