I finally caved into the hype and went to Burger King to try The Impossible Whopper. As a meat eater, I know what I want when it comes to a burger- juiciness, flavor, and a savory taste. To my amazement, Impossible has managed to make a plant-based burger that’s all of the above and more- it even “bleeds” thanks to a natural coloring derived from beets!
The Impossible Whopper has really made me excited for the future of plant-based foods. I never would have considered going vegan before, but the Impossible Burger has proven that a healthy and cruelty-free meat alternative can be just as good, if not better, as the real thing!

And they say vegans are the snowflakes. How do you know when someone isn't one? They'll tell you if you talk about anything but meat

No shilling I got a beyond burger for 3 bucks and threw it on the grill at a cookout the other day
Tastes absolutely nothing like any meat that has ever existed but the texture is pretty identical to a burger
Liked it but wouldn't buy for myself again

Bought one of those a while back and it was alright

My big issue with a lot of vegan or vegetarian foods is that they try so hard to replicate meat, heavily season everything and do all these weird tricks to make you think you're eating a slab if beef instead of just celebrating delicious ingredients for what they are

Fucking this. There's so much good food that just happens to be vegan. Stop trying to copycat shit and just appreciate the amazing shit you have available already.

I checked the nutrition facts of that garbage and it’s like 30% fat intake per serving

What exactly makes this thing so terrible health wise?

I totally understand why people do it. Not everyone goes vegan/vegetarian for the health benefits that a proper vegetarian/vegan diet *can* provide, and everyone loves a good burger or hot dog

But I've seen plenty of people who say they're vegetarian or vegan, and then have their health deteriorate because they just don't eat properly. Like shit it's not hard to do that

Meh. The cafe at work had Impossible burgers at work.
To be honest I think I prefer a straight out veggie burger over this.
A veggie burger is what it's called a burger patty made for plants. It has it's own taste, and they aren't all too bad. Every once in a little while I pick one up with a packet of BBQ sauce and enjoy.

The impossible burger is a sham and taste like it. I don't care if my burger bleeds, but the taste is bland as fuck, and the texture is off. A veggie patty has it's own unique texture, an impossible burger is trying to get close to meat but doesn't even touch it.
Like the taste is 40% there, the texture is weird as fuck. It crumbles like meat but doesn't have that give and chew of meat. So it just did't feel right when eating.

Shill at me when you can no longer distinguish it from actual meat, until then fuck off.
