Has anyone here dealt with H-pylori and dealt with it naturally? I'm looking for supplements to take and probiotics.

I read "H-pylori Diet" I thought It was alright, It basically explains what it can do to your stomach and foods to try out in your diet and foods to avoid. I'm not sure how trustworthy the author is though.

Xifaxan (rifaximin), a prescription, gut-specific antibiotic will destroy it in just 3 days or so.

If you wanna waste time on some bullshit, go nuts.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rifaximin

I'm not sure why it isn't used more widely. Works great!

Nothing in that wiki talks about h-pylori

It works well. No side effects, take it for 3-7 days. You WILL feel better, no bullshit.

Look all I'm saying is I can't take you seriously when you just recommend me some random medication that isn't meant for h-pylori.

Especially when I'm looking for natural supplements.

It works extremely well for what you have. It is gut-specific and there's really nothing to lose by trying it. If it works, you will feel entirely better in a few days.

Natural supplements are a fallacy and won't work as well. Do you want to fix it or not? I've given you advice, if you want to be a fussy toddler, go ahead, but you won't feel better.

>> No.12243354

>>12243316
I mean there are several other antibiotics that specifically target it so idk why the hell I would take that instead.

>> No.12243363

>>12243354
This one is gut specific. It doesn't act outside of your gut. It only kills bacteria in your gut, it is poorly absorbed into your bloodstream. This makes it highly effective at treating bacterial overgrowth.

You can take natural supplements like probiotics AFTER you finish the course of antibiotics to replenish the gut flora but to really fix the problem totally a 3-7 day course of Xifaxan will help.

There are better natural alternatives, DGL manuka honey mastic gum etc..

They don't actually fucking work lol. If you want the problem to go away in 3 days, take Xifaxan.

>> No.12243663

>>12243625
Why would they work? They are probably just placebos. How would honey or mastic gum fix bacterial overgrowth?

There's a clear established mechanism of action to Xifaxan. It works on H. Pylori and you really think "natural remedies" are gonna be more effective than a purpose designed antibiotic? It works GREAT for H. Pylori. Plenty of medications are used "off label" with great regularity. Either you want to actually fix this problem or you just want to dick around. Maybe you eat some magical honey and the problem resolves itself, slowly, eventually, in months and you come to believe it was the honey via confirmation bias, or you actually see a fucking doctor, ask for a script for Xifaxan and feel better in a few days. Do you want to feel better or what? Why would you resist effective solutions?

Not that guy, but here is some evidence:

I agree with you that an antibiotic would be better, but if he does not want to take them he can try these instead and risk a lesser chance of success.
Worst case scenario he will not fix his problem and try your solution instead.

If you wanna stay sick, OP, go ahead, but resisting antibiotics because they "aren't natural" is fucking retarded.

you have to do a triple antibiotics theraphy ammoxicilin + clarythromycin +omeprazole for 10 days and success rate is still around 60-70%
You can't do that by just eating certain food.

OP I truly never say this but you are a raging faggot

Take antibiotics and finish the course. If you don't it will come back.

>> No.12245839

>>12245326
You genuinely don't. Xifaxan monotherapy works just as well. A lot of bacteria are resistant to those first two, and they are systemic, not gut specific, and omeprazole doesn't fix the problem as directly as an antibiotic does.
