Its fine. A little bland but no worse than other Germanic cuisines like Nordic or British, just doesn't get talked about as often so it lacks the "disgusting" generalization. God tier beer and chocolate though.

Hearty, comfy, traditional winter food. There isn't much more than heavy winter food. Since I live in a tropical hot climate, it's great on some occasions, but I dine much more internationally.

Gerrman food could be considered a bit bland by many tastes. I love it, all of it, but I wouldn't want it every day of my life, for sure. It relies on potatoes, homemade noodles, and browned and smoked pork, tart foils a balance to the greasiness from kraut to lemons to vinegars. Delicious breads, pastries/cakes and dairy. Delicious variety of sausages. Good simple roasts.

austrian schnitzel is based but sadly not german. though it is served all over.
