I go to Walmart, find the cheapest ass Wonderbread-type shit buns I can find, a few pounds of that pasty ass ground beef shit you can buy in tubes -- probably loaded with hormones and the shitty parts of the cow -- but it's 70/30 so idgaf because it's gonna be melty and thicc. I buy the waxiest Kraft American cheese slices that come like 800 a box, the cheapest, meltiest shit imaginable.

Then I slice the beef really, really thin, and cover the skillet in beef tallow. High heat, smash the burgers down into the skillet using a metal weight thing meant for carpentry. It usually takes less than a minute on each side once I get going, and the cheese melts instantly on them. I can fit like 4-5 cheesy burgers on one bun. The only thing I put on it are some onions I caramelize and occasionally I'll dip them into ketchup. Shit's fire.

Frankly I feel guilty after eating them, like the same feeling you get after you're hungover and decided to bust a nut to some weird ass Russian bukkake bondage filmed in the 90s and you close all the tabs real quick. It's even worse because I grow a lot of my food and am uber health-conscious about low meat intake, getting good micronutrients from whole foods, etc. But nigga I'm 'bout to stop.

It's not quite that simple. You need a proper cage and other paraphernalia, plus rats are very social animals. Even though they grow affectionate to their owner as pets, they need the company of other rats, so you should always have at least two, preferably three at a time.
Rats don't cost a lot, but you're not taking care of just one at a time which contributes to time investment. They are pretty active animals and need a lot of attention and exercise.
