Can someone redpill me in cottage cheese?

On /fit/ they keep talking about how this mixed with berries and fruit. And either jam, syrup or honey and some god tier, filling healthy meal.

That's great and all, if true. Bit how can that possibly taste good. Has anyone tried it?

First of all, anything that is said on /fit/ is homoerotic nonsense. /fit/ is a home board. Secondly, cottage cheese is delicious, just never by low fat or fat free cottage cheese or you'll gate it.

The entire bit behind /fit/ is they fag shit up and then look at musclar men.

If you enjoy that type of routine then god bless, but going by culinary standards it is best enjoyed plain out of the tub with saltine crackers and vodka while on the bus.

Yes it’s very good and good for you. Berries can be a bit tart so if you’re just starting out i’d Recommend paring it with a sweeter fruit like a peach, mango, or grapes. Not all cottage cheese is the same though. If you live in North America the stuff you get from the grocery store is a bit salty, very wet and has large curds. European style cottage cheese is more sour, has way smaller curds and a creamier texture. Personally I prefer the European style by a large margin and am willing to pay way more at a specialty market for it. I still like the North American version tho and often eat it for breakfast.

I’m trying to lose weight, and it’s a great source of protein for relatively low calories. I had some for breakfast this morning. I usually eat it plain as a side
> half cup of cottage cheese (90 cal)
> olive oil spray (10 cal)
> pancake (190 cal)
> Reese’s chips in pancakes (80 cal)
For a total of 370 calories. Imo, cottage cheese is really versatile and if you do mix something in I recommend strawberries or pineapple

I like to mix diced cucumbers, tomato, bell pepper, and green onion in it with salt and pepper.
Also surprisingly good with chips. That's not healthy though.

>> No.12126210

I like it with fruit in general, pineapple, peach, papaya, etc just make sure you get some juice on the cottage as well

I like fresh berries and shit, but cottage cheese is honestly delicious right out of the tub. I'm not a /fit/tard, but I have to limit how often I buy cottage cheese because I end up just eating it in a day or two with an iced tea spoon like it's nothing. How is this even a question? Yogurt is the one that's actually supposed to be healthy, and you literally have to choke that garbage down.

It doesn't taste good, just has some protein, I can't eat dairy so Cottage cheese and Whey and yogurt are off the table when It comes to /fit/

I like it with mandarin oranges, that's pretty tasty.

What does cottage cheese even taste like? It looks like a more savory cream cheese with tapioca texture. But probably isnt, because that sounds delicious. So what would you describe it like?

Like bland, chunky sour cream. It’ll basically take up any flavor you season it with. You can go sweet or savory, but you’re getting a lot of sweet recommendations because Americans cannot fucking stop eating sugar even when trying to have a healthy diet.

I get that, but it would be nice to half a savory rice-like goat cheesish dish. Hell, I eat my oatmeal with a dash of salt. America has forgotten how to appreciate the flavor of bland, because the flavor gods don't have to cum into your mouth every time you take a bite of something.

It is under $1 a serving when buying a quart of it. Just try it OP. As another anon said ...buy whole milk cottage cheese and I will add to buy large curd. It is creamy and slightly sweeter than a Greek yogurt. It is good with fruit of all types, but I like it savory even more. I will sprinkle my serving with a Mrs. Dash, dried dill, or just sea salt. It is good blended with green onion and used as dip, salad dressing, or to top a baked potato.

Can I leave it out on the window sill for a day and it'll taste like rice pudding?

Growing up, my dad used to eat cottage cheese with peaches all the time. He loved it.
I've also seen it commonly with pineapple or with berries. People frequently like dairy+fruit (butter fruit tart, berries n creme, creamsicle (orange+creme), jam or compote with stinky/creamy cheese, strawberry milk, fruit cheesecake, etc) so this could be no different, right?

Cottage cheese is great if you have a taste for it. When I was /fit/ I mixed it with apple butter and peanut butter to great results. It was my go to post-workout snack.

I don't think I care for it much as a main dish, but it could be effective as a component in many recipes. This is a prime example, which I have personally tried and enjoyed very much. Just mix it well.

I know shitposting about Americans is a tradition and usually a falseflag these days but in Russia we tend to use it either for sweet dishes or just eat it sweetened with whatever. Salty dishes using it exist but they're much rarer.

A half cup of full fat cottage cheese plus a cup of frozen fruit, and I have a quick, banging breakfast for under 200 calories. Pineapple is good as well

I don't like it with lasagna n shit tho
