So I promised that I would make dinner tonight, but I only have experience with basic bitch shit like boiling pasta, scrambled eggs, etc. I need a relatively simple recipe that isn't totally embarrassing. Pls help

There is no shame in pasta, especially if done well. Give making your own meatballs a try or incorporate some cooked ground beef into the sauce.

Only put the meat on a plate.
Put the rice and veggies in the meat pan and stir it around for a minute or 2 then put it on the plate.

Make Bolognese.

>Brown 1lb ground beef in large pot.
>Remove.
>Add vegetable oil, a knob of butter, 2 medium diced onions, 1 large diced carrot and 1 diced celery.
>Cook for 10-15 minutes
>Add 2 cloves of minced garlic.
>Cook a couple more minutes.
>Add beef back into pan
>Add 1 glass of red wine and reduce, cooking off the alcohol.
>Add beef stock, a can of chopped tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of tomato puree, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, a pinch of sugar, a couple bay leaves, some thyme sprigs, a dash of whole milk, salt and pepper.
>Transfer to a 350ºF oven and cook for 1 hour. Checking halfway to make sure it's not too dry, and if it is, adding some water.
>Finish with a knob of butter and season to taste.

That's it. When it's done place it onto your stove on the lowest heat to keep warm. Cook some spaghetti to al dente, then toss into the sauce and let cook for 1-2 minutes to absorb, then plate. Serve with freshly grated parmesan.

Subtlety is important when it comes to great cooking. If you love garlic so much, then just roast a bulb and eat it.
