I like his content, but he doesn’t seem to be especially good. He just roughly copies what’s on TV, says “well that sucked” and googles a version of a similar recipe that isn’t ass and makes it. He’s good for newbs like me but he hasn’t really seemed to be an especially good cook. He’s just popular because his humor isn’t complete shit, he’s a dude in NY with no hair and a beard and tats so he’s “relatable” or “cool” to millennials, and his background is in video editing so he’s able to make easy to watch videos

He's entertaining-ish when he's recreating dishes and is sometimes handy for picking up new ideas.

He's GREAT at creating a brand and engaging his audience, which is why he has two spinoff shows.

As a cook overall? Lower-mid tier.

I always thought he was going to be Tasty-tier normie fodder but I've started watching his stuff and he is pretty entertaining. He was very clever in building his brand though. Making food from TV and Film was a good move for clicks.
