I just got some of this to try recently and I'm having trouble deciding if its good or not. It's very dry, murders your tongue when letting it dissolve, and is sorta bitter and not that sweet. Yet it has a nice light carmelized sugar taste to it that goes nicely with the choco.

Mine is specifically a candy thermometer, with automatic alarms. I haven't used it much since I eat much cleaner now. Tried to boil down date slurry since they have enough sugar to form crystals inside when dried, but it splattered more than anything so I gave up on it.
