I use mine everyday for coffee.

Its better than a Keurig K cup.

>> No.12058302

I still use mine near daily at work, as my only alternative is a really shitty keurig clone that taste awful

>> No.12058314

I do the inverted method.

First I take one scoop of beans and put them in my conical burr grinder. Then I dump them in the press and pour hot water till its totally full.

Attach the paper filter cap, then I invert over my mug and press it out.

Its better than a french press because it has a paper filter.

Looks like I found a new enema dispenser.

been using my aeropress daily for the past 4 years or so.
like....4 x 365 = 1460 days (give or take to account for leap years if you're that petty/autistic). Always inverted method, 18g, 1 minute, 79-80 degrees C. Minor adjustments for mock-lattes or compenstation for shitty coffee beans.

use the same one, havent needed to buy a replacement yet. minor nicks from dishwashing.

made some coffee for friends the other day. said it was "better than the way they make it at the cafe" and "not bitter at all".

Then his wife wanted some too and made him add milk & sugar. bitch ruined my art.

>> No.12058468

Its pretty good. Got my bro one for his birthday and job. It doesn't work great unless the coffee has a specific coarseness. But easy as hell to clean up.

Is it really worth the hassle?

Its not a hassle really. Maybe it feels strange the first time you do it but its actually dead simple.

Grind your beans and dump them in. Fill it with hot water, put on the filter cap and invert it over your cup to press.

>> No.12058798

Forcing hot water through ground beans is the only way to make espresso.

Drip methods suck.

After you press you take off the cap and then just press the spent grounds into the trash.

It takes 5 seconds to rinse off.

I use these to make hash browns. It's a great way to rinse grated potatoes and press the water out of them

Interesting tip.

Usually i just put them in paper towel and squeeze but I guess that would work too.

If you fill the aeropess all the way with water its just enough for a 12oz cup of coffee.

I like to add coconut milk sometimes.

You can do it the regular way if you just want a small strong cup of espresso.

I do the inverted method when I wan a cup of coffee.

I'll have to give the inverted method a try, I usually just use the normal method and fill the tube to the top with water
