Any kind of crêpe-like thing. Put jam or icecream on it and roll it up. Additionally put sweet vanilla curd cheese filling in there and bake it in the oven.

Quick homemade hot chocolate. Just add some cocoa powder, sugar, water and little bit of half&half. I like to flavor it with a cinnamon stick or mint extract.

Crush up some honey graham crackers, mix with butter, press into a pie dish, pour in some pudding, and then top with whip cream. Takes like 15 minutes.

Agreed with you up until you said water. And no actual chocolate.

Good homemade hot chocolate (maybe with a homemade marshmallow) is GOAT dessert and can be boozed up if you so desire but it shouldn't have any straight water in it imo.

>> No.12053186

Whole mango cheek, dusted with brown sugar and grilled or cooked in a hot pan sugar-side down until the fruit is warmed and the sugar fully caramelizes. Serve alone or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I've heard this also works pretty well with pears and some kinds of apples (both cut in half)

The same trick works for everything containing gluten that should avoid being worked. Tempura batter, biscuits, etc.
Ethanol doesn't interact with the two proteins that produce what we recognize as gluten in a way that allows them to undergo the binding process like water does. Just substitute half of your water for 80-proof (40%) ethanol. Go with a cheap vodka if it's meant to be flavorless, or something like rum or bourbon if it's going to improve the dish (like apple or pecan pie).

Just like the other anon said it's great for desserts when sweetened or just with fruit. It's kind of like drier chunky mascarpone. It's mostly a German and Slav thing.
