They're the cheapest of dinner rolls. I just make them better, myself. The more substantial the roll, the more substantial the burger, in other words, need to be balance.

What I do:
take delicious high quality ground sirloin patted out into slider sized beef patties, place between two plates, and mash them thinner about 1/4 past the size of the bun.
I put these on my griddle and then smother all my patties with minced raw vidalia onions. Then when I flip, I smash them into the onions.

Warm buns in oven, hit each with a few dots of mustard of choice, maybe a gourmet pickle slice, and top with hot burgers and charred onions. Cheese optional, but if you do cheese, should be semi-soft and kind of melty or else shredded.

Get some roles from the store and steam them and butter them, I prefer buttermilk roles. Get some lean burger and mold them into small patties. Cut the roles when they are done
Then place the small patties on them and
American cheese with some chopped onion bits
