I'm basically eating vegan for 6 days a week now, cause no meat, eggs or dairy. Good thing fish is still allowed though. Cooking vegan is such a pain, not having cheese, yogurt, butter or milk makes everything require workaround hacks. And almond milk doesn't taste anything like milk.

Common substitutes include making cashew cream, using canned coconut cream, and margarine if you have to. Not good for you but if you need the fat there you go.

I don't begrudge them too much. Most people in Western Industrial nations are raised on a meat-centric diet that has animal products as a main part of every meal of every day. I obviously do hope most new vegans/vegetarians eventually transition away from these fake meat products (or start making seitan/tempeh), but if it helps wean them away and products like the Impossible Burger make reaching more people possible, then it's fine.

I do get upset when newbies try trash processed tofurkey and not only are shocked it doesn't taste like the meat it's pretending to be and that they are used to, but actually tastes awful in its own right. Then they just stop right there and quit.

I'm from a Western country. We have among the highest percentage of vegans and vegetarians in the world. No, not the western, but the whole world. It's mostly because we have a lot of naturally animal-product-free dishes to begin with so the "transition" from omnivore is a breeze.
I understand, though, that the majority of other Western nations don't have the climate, fertile soil or extreme plant diversity found in mine, so their cuisines don't have nearly as much in the way of animal-product-free dishes. Also, it's funny you mention seitan and tempeh because most vegans and vegetarians use them as meat analogues, anyway.

>> No.12033858

Because that requires learning something new.

People are lazy as fuck, they just want to make the smallest change possible. If they read a blog or an ad which tells them they can just replace the meat ingredient in their recipe with some new meatless version then people are all over that because they don't have to learn anything new.

She's probably not being paid for that. She's offended and has made it her full time job to post 3 proof by examples without any scientific evidence and use strawmans and other fallacies to accidentally further the vegan movement. Notice she posts 16 hours per day, and based on the hours she posts she lives in either the US or the UK depending on which shift she used to work. She has never made an actual argument and stops posting when you point out her past posts like this.
I can't imagine getting so triggered that I resort to wasting my life posting antivegan fallacies and being this retarded.
I have a slight feeling it's a vegan ring to further the movement though. Nobody is dumb enough to fall for fallacy posting, right? Like on a website where everyone is arguing at all times, you use the weakest argument possible? This can't be real. She's definitely trying to promote veganism by being the retarded "bad guy".

>Fallacy
Habitats are disrupted by planting food, and animals are killed during harvest, so vegans kill animals too.
>Response
Crop fields do indeed disrupt the habitats of wild animals, and wild animals are also killed when harvesting plants. However, this point makes the case for a plant-based diet and not against it, since many more plants are required to produce a measure of animal flesh for food (often as high as 12:1) than are required to produce an equal measure of plants for food (which is obviously 1:1). Because of this, a plant-based diet causes less suffering and death than one that includes animals.
It is pertinent to note that the idea of perfect veganism is a non-vegan one. Such demands for perfection are imposed by critics of veganism, often as a precursor to lambasting vegans for not measuring up to an externally-imposed standard. That said, the actual and applied ethics of veganism are focused on causing the least possible harm to the fewest number of others. It is also noteworthy that the accidental deaths caused by growing and harvesting plants for food are ethically distinct from the intentional deaths caused by breeding and slaughtering animals for food. This is not to say that vegans are not responsible for the deaths they cause, but rather to point out that these deaths do not violate the vegan ethics stated above.

You do know carnist is for all meat eaters not just carnivore dieters?

Keto, paleo, omnivores and such don't even know who vegan gains or Frank Tufano are. Most meat eaters will look at that debate and go:

Vegan gains - depressed nigger who doesn't eat his species diet e.g. fried chicken and watermelon
Tristan - born again Bible basher who probably doesn't believe in evolution
Frank Tufano - some makeup channel YouTuber fag talking about his diet to reduce the amount of shit on his boyfriend's dick

Three retards with no scientific background or further education throwing pubmed studies at the each other.

I'm not even vegan but I'm convinced the people who post theses videos are because they are so hilariously stupid and so far from being credible they make carnivore eaters look like complete idiots. Veganism (like everything leftist) is retarded on it's face. Vegans get so sick and malnourished their teeth fall out (long term vegans) .....most vegans quit long before the emaciation and teeth falling out etc.

Why would anyone entertain a starvation cult with "legitimate reasons?" I will not be trolled by some toothless zombies screaming about how healthy they are lol. Vegans are to be laughed at openly, do not be trolled please.

The raw fad is dead. Whole is what matters. Legumes, tubers, grains are good.

There was a raw place here and it was shit because they put coconut meme oil and de-fibered fruit juice in everything. A stomach full of nuts without much starch doesn't feel good. They closed when they were no longer the only vegan place.
