Scotch General? What are you sipping on? What have you tried that you recommend? For me, it's pic related.

My current selection. I really love all of them but I'd have to say the Springbank 12 CS is my favourite. Naked Grouse is my most recent purchase and it surprised me with its round flavours and smoothness. Definitely recommended at its price point.

If you like that one you’re in luck for this year’s Cairdeas as its gonna be a cask strength version of Triple Wood.
Also get the 10 Year Cask Strength if you ever run across a bottle, it’s easily the best Laphroaig under $100 and honestly tastes better then the 18 Year.

Nice Springbank 12! I’m going to the distillery in the summer so hopefully I can find some cool ones there!

Will do. I'm very new to Scotch, the Triple Wood being only the second bottle of the stuff I've ever had. Bollocks on the "don't try Laphroaig early" advice.

People kinda say that cause it’s usually a love/hate thing that some people either love at first or find it very off, kinda like those who aren’t fans of German smoked beers.
If you like the Triple Wood id also recommend Bunnahabhain’s wine cask peated stuff as I find it hits similar notes but with more sweetness.

Tempted to go for Lagavullin 16 or Ardbeg 10, next, but those were what I set out to get to begin with and was unable to find them at my local liquor store. This stuff is good, though. I'm strangely fond of the burning bandaids.

Thought this was no longer available but got one as a gift. It's pretty damn good. Working on it along with a Dalwhinnie 15 that I like a lot as well.

Seconded. 16 year old is pricy, but very tasty if you like smoky whiskey that's also smooth.

Its a lighthearted smoke, almost like BBQ with some sweetness
