Moral of the story: Don't buy 4 loaves of bread from Jimmy Johns when you have no idea what you're going to do with it

Dice it into large cubes. Spread olive oil generously onto a sheet pan. Throw the bread on there, season with a bit of salt and bake in a 250 degree oven until the bread is dried out and hard, about 20-30 minutes I'd guess. Store in the freezer and microwave every time u want croutons for a salad.

I don't understand. Why would you buy things that you don't know what to do with?

>> No.11999170

Have you tried eating them?

>> No.11999171

>>11999166
no, just slower, wouldn't use a particularly hot oven to do so (prolly not over 350)

probably faster to just toast them in a medium-heat skillet on the stove rather than oven reheat if ur not gonna pop em in the microwave

Honestly their bread is better than bread I can get from any bakery around here if you're going to use it for sandwiches and wrap them in parchment paper. But 4 is damned insane.

Make a very fucking loaded sandwich, then some french bread pizza, garlic toast, and freeze the rest and hope it holds up. Freeze it wrapped and after you thawed it you can brush it with milk and gently cook it again to try to refresh it a little.
