Why the fuck would you do that? A burr grinder is necessary for grinding your own beans and the Aeropress is a fine way of brewing a cuppa.

not him, but I'm very happy with my moka pot. lots of body, lots of oils. I don't usually use it with really nice beans--not great for bringing out subtle tasting notes and not terribly bean-efficient--but it's my go-to for everyday. also, to be pedantic, it's not espresso--much lower pressure extraction, much less concentrated. that's not a bad thing necessarily, it's still damn tasty (imo) but you're not gonna replicate what you get from a powered espresso machine.

You can do whatever you want re: dilution. I don't--if I want large volumes of coffee I usually go with pourover or french press--but lots of people do.

Espresso machines aren't going to be worth it unless you drop thousands on a nice machine and equally nice grinder/misc equipment. You also need to drink a shit ton of espresso to make the purchase worth it. 99% of people are better off going with a Moka pot.
I personally dilute my Moka pot brew because it's really strong compared to conventional methods of brewing. One time I drank the entire pot of my Moka brew and I projectile vomited, so now I add some hot water to the mug to essentially make caffe lungo.

Usually for african coffees I go close to 203F and then drink slowy as it cools to 60C. Brewing at a hot temp=catalyst for more chemical rxns to produce the flavor profiles you want. Especially with african coffees, you gotta brew hotter just because of how dense they are
