Had pasties in Iron Mountain, Houghton, Baraga, Marquette, Escanaba, and several other places. Lived in the Keewenaw for six years.
Sadly, I really cannot recommend them. Its a crappy empanada, nothing more.

Born and raised in Michigan. I sincerely hope the pastys in the U.P. are better than down in Metro Detroit. Everyone I've tried was mediocre. I was not impressed.
