You are correct. It is better to make a queso with jalapenos to dip them into. However, if you make nachos at home, you can do a small portion on a tray and stick them in the oven, that way you can enjoy them before they go to shit. But in the restaurant's it is probably the worst thing to order. The chef's typically don't give a shit. It's a very easy thing to make and they have tons of orders coming in quickly so they just dump a bunch of shit on the chips and stick them in the microwave or oven.

I agree. I'd rather just order fajitas and get basically the same stuff wrapped in a tortilla instead of dumping a bunch of shit on chips. You can never get a bite with everything on it and within a few minutes, all the chips are soggy. Order a burrito or fajitas and then a side of chips with salsa/guac/queso and your meal is 100% better. Nachos are retarded.
