I had a very nice time staying near K-Town one trip to Manhattan. Hit up the korean experiences over the two short blocks there, and it's a nice late night karoke street (W33rd).
Turntable Chicken Jazz has bubbling beer canisters on the table, pork fat roasted smoky edamame, fusion-y mexican and crispy crunchy (must be #1) korean wings, korean pancake, and housemade soju whiskey such as lychee. So craveable. I wish I lived right next to it.
New Wonjo is highly ranked, and you can't go wrong with a bowl or the famous bbq, but the really good stuff are the 12 condiments of homemade pickles and this and that on your table when you arrive.
There are a couple of fusion parisian+korean bakeries for good coffee, and little mochi filled breads, and frozen and prepared desserts that will hit you with some never tried before delights.
H-Mart is the fun all-things-asian grocery, which you can pick up fun imported snacks for your hotel room.
