Around the mid-2000's, Burn used to be really good (and in 250ml cans). Now they're either in 500ml bottles or 355ml cans (both too large for a single serving, imho), and the taste(s) are worse (there are many flavors, none of which taste like the original. But hey, I may just be nostalgic. After all, I literally was a kid back then).

Anyway, I drink coffee nowadays. Some energy drinks do taste good, though, but I don't crave them in the morning.

Depends on what your goal is. If you just want the "effects" then take some caffeine and a B-vitamin complex.

If you're trying to duplicate the flavor, then you are missing something. You've got sugar. citric or phosphoric acid for the tartness (I know the latter is more common in sodas in general). But there is some other flavor which is common to most energy drinks you did not list. I am guessing it could be the taurine, since every drink I've had with that taste had taurine on the label, but I'm not sure if that is a coincidence or not.
