I pretty much always use olive oil. I like using sesame oil (or similar) when doing somehting asian.

I'd use a vegetable oil or sunflower if I need to do something like deep fry.

Depends entirely on what dish i am making. I use rape/canola for most applications, like in baking when i don't need shortening or deep frying doughnuts or whatever. I save (actual) olive oil for finishing, same with sesame/tigernut for asian dishes. Coconut oil i try to avoid just because i associate it with people smearing it on their gross cracked diabeetus skin because they can buy it on food stamps unlike real moisturizer.

vegetable shortening is best for frying and infinitely reusable
butter or beef/bacon fat for sauteing
olive oil, sesame oil, etc any oils with flavor are strictly for condiments

not counting whatever oils in cooking spray

Lotta fucking dumb faggot retards in this thread so I'll help you guys out. Vegetable, soy, canola, corn oils are all never eat ever. All are toxic GMO hell oils that don't exist in nature at all. Olive oil and many oils have variables. Cold pressed sesame and other such oils are like extra virgin olive oil, and while you can cook with them at high heats, they tend to burn or become less desirable quickly. Benefits of EVOO degrade when heated past 103 farenheit, I think? Not sure on that. Anyone who says some oils are strictly condiments is a faggot retard with no brain, but EVOO is best for after food prep condiment.

Coconut oil has a few varieties, you want one that isnt 'bleached'. Coconut oil has been shown to be one of the healthiest oils. Rapesee (canola) is a product made from nothing, rapeseed plants produced no oil until genetically modified. Canola oil (Canada oil) is a product invented in Canada to give them economic power, now china makes the most of it in the world.

I eat EVOO every day and have for over a decade. I use coconut and sesame/peanut oil. If you use soy, vegetable, canola or corn, you are a dumb retard who should clean my gutters for a living.

i think this is one of the few that are actually bad for you though, even if it doesn't have as much trans fat now.

good quality vegetable oils probably aren't bad for you, but a lot of it is rancid and really processed to remove odors.

Almost all modern foods, even "organic" ones, are genetically modified, because they were produced by artificial selection. There is no magic contaminant aura that sticks to crops if you use a gene gun to alter them.
