God I remember my mother used to take my sister and I to sit down inside and eat at pizza hut, and I remember the buffet and those red cups and everything. In retrospect it's weird because I don't remember ever really sitting down to eat with my family at any other chain restaurant.

Pizza Hut because such fucking garbage we'd rather eat frozen or make it ourselves.

Almost every goddamned pizza chain in the US just caters to teens, stoners, and neets that want a subpar pizza, probably delivered. What disturbs me even more is the fact that there's companies like Heggie's that sell frozen pizzas that turn out better than those pieces of shit, but have limited distribution. Granted they cost like 8 bucks, but fuck Papa Johns Dominoes and Pizza Hut.

shit is like $25-30 for a single subpar, often disgusting, pizza delivered. I have to be really really stoned and drunk before I consider that bullshit.

Exactly.

Hard to find a good picture of a Heggies because they usually give them to bars with a free toaster oven if they agree to run them, and they turn out whatever the bar sets the oven to. They sell them to take home at groceries and even gas stations up north.

Does not apply to Chicago.

A lot of different things happened. But, it's coming back. When Toys R' Us announced its closure it shook Millennials to the core. So deeply they haven't quite realized what an event it was yet.

But just watch. In the next ten years there is going to be a massive shift in marketing towards a return to 20th century culture because middle-aged Millennials will refuse to buy everything from Amazon. They will refuse to eat at Wing Street Pizza Hut.

The smell of Pizza and the old cocktail cabinets with Pac-man, Ms. Pac-man, or a combo one with Galaga and a Pac game. Just the memory makes me think of the scent of pizza. Good times good times.

>tfw every fast food restaurant has become "muh inoffensive minimal" cafe's that try to make you think you're not eating a dollar hamburger and sucking half a gallon of soda down
I miss when every place at least had it's own interior and exterior based on what the area was, or what a franchise owner wanted it to look like. We had a mcdonalds by me that had a bunch of nascar theming with display cases, an arcade, a full size nascar on a stage, a jukebox and a model train that went around the entire ceiling of the place

Man you dont remember getting a nice slice of slightly greasy pepperoni pizza, sprinkling some hot peppers over it before blasting it with Parmesan out of one of these?

Then leaning into your sprite filled redcup, fighting the straw through the sea of icecubes before taking a nice slurp?

Dimly lit stained glass overhead lighting, brown carpet, super comfy burgundy/red bench seats.

Most of all I remember feeling surrounded by people my age celebrating a birthday. It's been so long I cant really remember it, but I think they were called friends.

Even now if I close my eyes I can smell the Parmesan coming off the best pizza of my life. It was in a word: Heaven.
