As much as I hate that forced meme, yep. Honestly a lot of the decor is nice and it's great to know you're getting dependably good food if you're traveling. Don't go there because they abuse the staff. They're there for life because a fucked up pyramid scheme. They actually pay them with debit cards that can only be cashed out at Walmart or Walgreens.

Briefly worked there before my health failed and I moved. They're privately owned and take good care of their dedicated workers, but in a very cultist way. They're surprisingly flexible, but some of their business practices are just unacceptable.

I worked here. The place I worked at isn't the best representation of the restaurant though. I live in a shitty small town that's just big enough to have a cracker barrel, so the people employed were some of the most retarded people I've ever had the displeasure of working with. If they weren't retarded, they were stuck in grade school mentally. The way the kept the food stored would have needed somewhat competent staff to keep functional, as in not making people sick. Needless to say people were sick all the time from the food we served. In the hick town as well, there became some cult following where people would show up and stare at me. Also, the wait staff just sat around, and stared at me all day. One was particularly annoying as she looked like peter griffen, and would do dumb shit to get my attention because she had no shame about her stalking. I watched people that were "mentoring me" drop shit on the ground, and put it back. I graduated culinary school, and the only reason I had to work there is because Cracker Barrel in my town is like a 5 star restaurant or something. Other than that it's like McDonalds or burgerking. The staff had no clue how to actually cook shit. Nobody could cook a steak to order, or even without pounding the shit out of it first like they were tenderizing it. One guy actually referred to his "method" as tenderization. The food is good, but overpriced. Also, the risk in how they store shit makes food illness pretty high. Also, you run the risk of some num nut faggot ripping up your ribeye trying to cook it in 7 minutes in order to get his quota that means absolutely noting to them in the grand scheme of things. My experience may be bias, as pretty much anybody stuck in a town with a little over 10k people is inherently retarded for the most part. I live here because I like the outdoors.. hunting and fishing. We got this fake gangsters that walk around wearing blue shirts and red shirts pretending to be gangsters in a hick town.

There's nothing wrong with a variable rate loan if you know you're not going to keep the goods past the fixed rate time period or your principal is going to be so low at that point that the higher interest rates are offset by the initial savings. ARMs only got a bad rap because financially illiterate flyovers used them to buy property well beyond their means, paid the minimum (if that), and then discovered that math isn't actually a chinese hoax

It's not the crash that hurts, it's the part when the recovery never happens

>> No.11888773

Kinda, yeah. In the subprime bubble it was also the fault of predatory lenders for explicitly targeting financially illiterate buyers who had no business buying a house in the first place, let alone those kinds of houses. But the problem there was inadequate vetting of loan customers, which can happen with a fixed rate loan just as easily. It's just that an ARM traditionally offers a lower intro rate and therefore was the obvious choice for someone looking to entice an unqualified buyer with artificial numbers.

If your finances are in order ARMs are a totally legitimate to save money on interest. You pay much more in interest in the first half of the payoff period than in the second. If (as has been the case more recently) the ARM's intro rate isn't substantially different from the traditional fixed rate and you're uncertain about the future you might as well go for the fixed rate. But if your kids are going to be big enough that you have to move at a certain point anyway, the ARM saves you money and has no downside.

When they found out a guy that doesn't look like typical small town trash is forced to stand in front of a bunch of 2 tooth yokels because your very essence allures them. I wish I was joking. I kept track all the time of when I started working there, and a few months later about a few times a week on google. You know where they show how many people are at a place, and if it's busy. Even the manager had a meeting and said since the past month (when I started) "we went from average, to the highest yielding store in our region" After I left I noticed that the business in the place had been cut in half. It's a shit town though everybody knows everybody. I'm like like a legend here. Don't get me wrong im not really shit, but to these fucking mutant looking ass motherfuckers im like a demigod.

Did yours? I just thought his post was hilarious for its excessive bluntness, but maybe closer to the truth than one might think.

I won't miss cable TV. There's one show from cable TV I watch and each episode is on streaming 3 days after. I don't care about American football, the booze and junkfood around it is more fun than the game. Aforementioned chain restaurants are garbage even by chain standards. FYI I'm sitting on the fence between GenX and Millennial, not Zoomer. It's just that Boomer culture is suicidal.

Half the time they do a decent show, and the other half the time it's worse than cafeteria food with four times the wait. When done right, their country fried steaks or catfish sandwiches are good, and starch on starch on starch nigguh, with dumplings, mashed potatoes, and mac n' cheese.

I stop there once in awhile for breakfast. $6 gets you a decent plate of Biscuits & Gravy with Bacon and a tall glass of nice pulpy OJ. Put enough Pepper in that gravy to give taste and it's well enough. Better than 75% of the breakfast stops on the road.

I just have nice memories of my grandma taking me there for breakfast, or going for lunch or dinner and getting some grilled chicken tenders with those glorious fried country apples. I mean, it wasn't the greatest food you can get, but it wasn't terrible. I also liked walking around the shop and making those dumb parrots say cuss words and shit like that.
