I have a couple of these and they are a must for canning apple slices for later use in apple pies. I also have a hand crank apple peeler I use for making slices to be dehydrated. It peels, slicers, and cores all in one. The slices are thin though. I can remove the slicer knife on it and it will only skin the apples after which I can use the slicer in your image on them.
