This morning I went for a nice Sunday breakfast to a local Cafe. It's in the same station as the Starbucks. It was empty while Starbucks had a line out the door.

I used to get a 16 oz. black coffee at Starbucks on my way to work every day. After tax, it was almost $3. You can get a 20 oz black coffee at McDonalds for $1 plus tax. After I realized there were no particularly attractive baristas at the Starbucks near my house to flirt with, I decided to just hit the McD's drive through for my commute coffee. And if I'm hungover I can get a sausage McMuffin too and still be lower than the cost of just the coffee at Starbucks. And no pressure to tip.
