>Okay seriously where did this come from?
I wrote it man, while wagecucking at a grocery store. Bout a month after I wrote it I traveled across the country to sing in a concert, and I recorded the song with other musicians while I was there. I wish I could say we're all roomies in a band but this was just a one off thing while we were in town together.
In my opinion the song is elevated by the performance of the pianist (who asks "it's eight bars right?"). A New York professional, he is a real-life savant with perfect pitch. I only had to sing the song once a capella before he understood the key & chord progressions. His descending run at 1:32 makes me laugh every time, it's just so unnecessary. I never considered the song to be anything more that a cringe musical shitpost so it was a lucky opportunity to be able to throw talent at such a stupid jingle.
Just for the record: if a sardine company ever wanted the rights to the song, I'd tell them to blow me. It belongs to /ck/.

Sardines in water are pretty rough. You have to be hardcore to enjoy those. A cheap can that's packed in oil will be significantly better, even if it's not on the level of king oscar or club des millionaires or whatever.

They are they just have an unapologetically fishy flavor some people will never get past. Personally I think they are very good. I get the ones tinned in spicy tomatoe sauce and mix with diced onion, tomato, jalapeños and add a little jalapeño vinegar to make a quick spread for tostadas. It's a nice protein source that you don't have to worry about thawing out or cooking properly because it's shelf stable and ready to eat.

Why the FUCK did Costco change the tabs on their tins? They literally break 100% of the time now. It's just a flimsy piece of paper barely even attached to the tin. You pull it and it just fucking breaks off without opening it. Fucking 8/8 so far have broken off without opening. THEY MIGHT AS WELL NOT HAVE ANYTHING AND JUST HAVE YOU OPEN IT WITH A KNIFE BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I'VE HAD TO DO FOR 100% OF MY TINS SINCE THE CHANGE FUCK YOU COSTCO

What I do half the time is just mash them in their tin and add hot sauce. Preferably a vinegar-based hot sauce because it helps balance the fat.

Decent prices on large selection of deenz, but pretty expensive shipping. US-based, so shipping is 3 days or less.

Also has cheese, olives, and other snacks
