Pretty sure freeze distillation is illegal because it concentrates dangerous alcohols which will lead to blindness. Apparently they use some weird ice brewing process for natty ice. The only thing that was specifically freeze distilled was apple jack since the cider’s alcohol content was “jacked” in the freezing process. Heat distilled apple jack isn’t traditionally correct.
