Non-American here. Have McD's burgers always been this mediocre? I get they are supposed to be the cheapest stuff, and ads don't necessarily mean quality. But every time, every goddamn time I pick one I get disappointed. They are all low-end meat, tasteless buns, and store-grade mayonnaise & ketchup to cover it all up.

try mayonayse or instead mustard use be using kind of ketchup?

>> No.11806529

Anon, the cheapest stuff is almost guaranteed to be the lowest quality.

>cheap meat
>cheap bread
>cheap condiments
Yeah you covered why yourself. It doesn't help that they made their fries vegetarian.

eh… what do you mean
>>11806529
The fries are still okay though, I don't know how they make them in my country as opposed to US but they used to be real good.
Like, i can go to BK and get burgers that are actually better in any way for about the same price. Their fries and everything else are worse, but their basic burgers are better than "legendary" McDs ones.

how the fuck did they turn a potato into a vegetable?

Big Mac is exactly what you pay for. A quick, mid tier (by fast food standards) burger. The cheeseburgers were absolutely awful last time I tried them though. And the fries are bad.

They stopped flavouring them with beef tallow.

The best McDonald's sandwich is the quarter pounder with cheese

Other good ones are the chicken sandwiches, and Filet-o-fish. Everything else sucks.

I also like the Nuggets, salads and te yogurt parfaits. French fries are bomb as well.

Their fries used to be fried in beef fat. Then retarded people complained animal fat was unhealthy, so they started adding beef flavoring. Then vegetarians sued saying fries implied it was vegan.

Basically when people tell other people how to cook their food, they ruin it.

huh, I thought I was the only one who kinda liked them
I mean, filet o fish tastes like frozen fish patty from any grocery, but I'm kinda ok with that

for at least 50 years. mcdonalds became popular because of their consistency, not their quality. you could be pretty sure you weren't going to get food poisoning at mcdonalds, no matter which one you are were at. if you were on vacation, you could get the same identical stuff at the mcdonalds in scenic dumbfuckistan as you could at the one down the street from your home in fuckyouflyover, and vice versa.

> Have McD's burgers always been this mediocre?
Yeah. McD's main stay has always been its attraction towards kids with happy meal, dollar menu and efficient drive-thru. The burgers? Considered the worst.

And now their drive-thrus are slow as shit. Pretty much removes the point of going now.

How is it ruined?
More people prefer it that way so it's an improvement.
McDonald's also make more money since they can sell the same product at the same price while being able to spend less on it.

win win for everyone

Thanks, this is pretty much what I have heard from other people
It used to be hard to believe for me, considering that many people here where I live think "McDonalds = burgers"
>you could be pretty sure you weren't going to get food poisoning at mcdonalds
then again I'm pretty confident in any other fast food chain but they all have better burgers

>> No.11806767

Obviously they were never good but they did get worse due to inflation etc

Not true desu. Store brand is usually guaranteed to be top quality for a budget price, unless you do your grocery shopping at Walmart or one of the cuckchains like Trader Joe's like a filthy animal.

Food Lion store brand is top quality no matter what, and Shaws is a major contender.

The Quarter Pounder with cheese plus a side of the Big Mac sauce to put on it is literally the best possible sandwich at McD's.

The fries are the best part of the McDonalds experience. It's hard to enjoy anything there as a vegetarian or vegan, as your only real options are the parfaits, Frappes, and salads.
>>11806828
This desu. Though I would argue that the Angus burgers were the absolute best before they cut them from the menu. The Angus Deluxe with a side of Big Mac sauce was my go-to for three years.

They didn't remove the beef fat, vegetarians just removed the flavoring.

The beef fat was a animal fat scare caused by one idiot who had a heart attack and spent millions being asshurt about it.

So they replaced it with transfats.

hmm I'll try it. since I'm not in US, it's actually called differently here (Grand Cheeseburger) because we use metric. and it was kinda confusing, especially since it used to be called "Royal Cheeseburger" too. so not knowing what the fuck it meant I didn't think of trying it
